I used these to replace the wheels on an older Shop-Vac QPV vacuum. The original stems on the Shop-Vac were 7.5 mm in diameter, but these (8 mm) still fit. It was a bit tight, but they do work. Much larger and sturdier than the original wheels.

I bought a two-pack of 'under the sink' stacked storage caddies. But, they didn't fit under the sink. So, I got some 1/2" dowel, joined them into a single 4 tier unit and then, with these casters, made it a rolling organizer cart.The casters are a perfect fit. They roll very well on hard surfaces and still help with the mobility on carpet. Because they came in a five-pack, I think that they were intended for office chairs. But, they serve my purpose just fine. And, they're budget friendly.

These wheels/castors work on a variety of items. I got them for a shop-vac with a broken wheel and later noticed they would also have worked on our office chairs. So, measure the wheels and metal shank (the vertical silver metal piece that inserts into the chair/vacuum/what-have-you).
